"Planet X"

The concept of the Earth being destroyed or significantly altered by natural disasters is nothing new. Last month there were allot of Internet articles on how the dinosaurs became extinct and the most popular theory is that an asteroid hit the Earth, sent dust/ debris into the atmosphere, creating a "nuclear winter" by blocking the sun for centuries. An ice age ensued killing off many of Earth's creatures. It's just a theory, but a plausable one.

Here is a new wrinkle on an old theory about how the Earth meets it's end as we know it: "Plant X" or "Niburu":

This makes fascinating reading about how another planet (possibly a brown dwarf star), Niburu is going to come back into our solar system after a long absence and it's gravitational force is going to "rock our world".

Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, the flipping of the magnetic poles, massive weather events, and technological failures will ensue. According to some of these articles, a majority of the Earth's population will cease to exist. To survive you need to head for higher ground, pack 1+ year's supply of food/ water, survival gear, have solar power, and a shelter or bunker able to withstand high winds and heavy vibrations.

Could this be true? Is this a bunch of crack pots with too much time on their hands and fertile imaginations? I hope so. I dig it here....

Who knows?

There are quotations from scientists, astronomers, and others who say there is evidence that Planet X is real and we should all be planning for it's arrival.

When you think about all of the asteroids, solar storms, comets, and meteorites that have a chance of colliding with the Earth and cause damage, the concept of another planet or brown dwarf messing with us is not too far fetched. Is it?

They usually discuss these events in terms of millions of years apart so if these prognosticators are off by a decimal point, you and I can to continue to sip carbernet and eat cheese for a few more decades.

At any rate, it's interesting reading......and something to think about.
Time to grab the prayer beads :-)
